I walked 20 km today on the lonley meseta. No shade, its hot.
Yesterday in hornillos. I met a german girl, yanna, and a danish girl Carinne. thanks to the german girl i woke up this morning. at 7;15 i was still asleep with my earplugs and eye mask. she was kind enough to wake me as a reminder that ¨we¨ need to be out by 7:30. I was up and gone in 5. I slept well last night.
I am in castrojariz. I will try to make it to Boadilla tomorrow. I saw Tom tom on the way talking to Robert the tall german boy.
i had dinner alone, pilgim menu 8,8Euros, appetizer, main course, desert and wine. since i was at a table alone they brought a whole bottle of wine. no problemo.
then 3 older french people shared my table, it was nice because they were so well mannered, i miss that. the one guy, from isle de reunion pretended like he didnt notice that i had already finished most of the bottle of red, and put their bottle next to mine and poured me a little out of theirs. the other guy jacques, fought in ww2, he was very pleased to share a table with an american. he says if it werent for the americans..... i tried to reciprocate by saying that if it were not for the french we americans would be .... He wasnt having it. The 3 were very nice to share a table with.
I am waiting for the dinner ¨pilgrim menu¨, then i´ll sleep and go again tomorrow.
so i guess everyone knows that kyle is back in idaho, therefore, No shade on the Meseta,
They say that this is one of the hardest parts of the camino because it is so dry, hot and desolate. i just keep thinking that i´ll have franck waiting for me at the end,
I tried uploading photos. but no luck. hopefully soon.
