Testing first Blog

It's 2Am on April 22nd and i'm trying this out as a way to stay in contact with everyone simultaneously while i'm gone.

I had to choose a name for my blog, wasn't really ready for that. SJPDP is short for Saint Jean Pied de Port. The town in France that i start from. so for now it is titled(in case i change it later) sheconoclast(thats me) SJPDP to Santiago.

I'm sad that franck isn't going to be with me, but i'm pretty sure we'll do it together another year. and i cant say how much i appreciate him staying here and working while i follow this idea of mine to walk 800KM.

Although i had resolved to do this alone if it be; i'm liking the idea that Kyle, my youngest son wants to go with me. He said if i really wanted to do it alone that he would just be a day or two behind me. We seem to be thinking it makes more sense to stick together.
